I just released my first theme free to the public. It's called Benighted.
I think many people will find it too dark, but I it's purposely very dark. It's monochrome, meaning I only used white and black and shades of gray.
Please let me know what you think and what I could do to improve it.
Thanks...

I think if you included some sIFR that'd be great. Look at the "how did they do this font" note for a bit more info.

The structure is pretty good. It adjusts well when the text is scaled and is a simple clean design. The problem is it's all too dark for me. The links stand out far more than the actual content, and on a blog i think you'd want the opposite. It wouldn't surprise me if someone on a badly/ wrongly calibrated monitor was unable to read anything but the links.
Also (and this is very minor) I'd be inclined to add some colour into it, if only a few little splashes to cheer things up. It's a nice solid start though, just needs a couple of tweaks to finish it off IMO

I'm in agreement with Binary on this one. On my monitor I have a pretty hard time reading the text because of the dark gray on black. Maybe shade it up a bit to medium gray on black?
Otherwise, it's very nice.

why not off-white on black... like #E3E3E3 or something like that.
